ALICIA J. THOMAS, DNP, MSN, RN

Dr. Alicia J. Thomas is the owner, operator, and primary instructor at Johnson-Thomas Medical Training Center. She has served her community as a nurse educator for over 20 years. She has taught Nurse Assistant training at Timmonsville Comprehensive Educational Center, Wilson High School, West Florence High School, and most recently Florence-Darlington Technical College. She also served as an instructor for the LPN Program at Central Carolina University.

In 2019, Dr. Thomas took a leap of faith and decided to open her very own Medical Training School. Since that time she has graduated over 100 CNA students at JTMTC! She maintains a high pass rate for the Licensure Exam, and the strong connection she has established with community businesses and organizations allows her to assist her students with job placement after graduation.

A natural-born leader, Kourtney is an experienced educator with a commitment to seeing students succeed. She is a life-long learner who has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Experimental Psychology and a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina, and a Master's of Education in  School Counseling from South Carolina State University.  She is certified in school counseling and educational leadership in South Carolina and has worked in education for 7 years. She is also a certified Global Career Development Facilitator which has equipped her with the tools necessary to assist students with developing resumes and completing job applications.
